Na continuidade dos posts sobre os veículos de comunicação underground, resgatemos uma entrevista concedida pela banda Recidivus, do selo Moondo Records, para o PODSVETIE Magazine, da Eslováquia. O Anthropophagical Warfare, também do selo, esteve presente com destaque no zine europeu. Infelizmente, não tenho o arquivo “DOC” com a entrevista. Possivelmente, a banda, na época, enviou o texto diretamente para o editor.
As entrevistas, sem os recursos atuais dos eficientes mecanismos de tradução online, seguem na linguagem original: o “ingrês” raiz. Era assim que a gente conseguia se comunicar e as coisas funcionavam.

- How is access members to Recidivus. Is Recidivus your hobby or….
- The sound your demo is ok! I think that drums has the best sound… and I like it! What do you think about it?
- In present time a lot of death metal bands plays US brutal death metal only or melodic death metal. Your music is according to me classic death metal of old school. What do you think and why this the way?
- I saw your band photo. You look as the true death metal maniacs. What does death metal mean for you? How old are you?
- Your demo is very short…Why?
- And now…look to future! Have you got the new songs for next records. When we can except the new material?
- Your bonus song call „The Devil Is Green“! Why do you think, that devil is green, I think that devis is for example red or yellow! Ha-ha
- Your demo released moondo records. I know that it is your label. Could you tell me any informations about it?

RECIDIVUS – Brazilian Death Metal
1 – Hello bangers from Slovakia! Thank´s for the kind comments about our work. The RECIDIVUS is a 100% honest band, no poser. We have in the scene to play the true and old Death Metal and “…Mentes Ressurgidas” is our first release (october – 2001).
2 – The RECIDIVUS is a professional band (we have Studio for rehearsal, we make some gig´s), but we do not live exclusively of music. This in Brazil is very difficult. The Luiz (Vocal) and Jonas (Guitar) are professional tattoo-man, Wagner (Drums) is drummer-teacher, and i (Edmundo – Bass) have a underground Metal Label. This year, we make the “…Mentes Ressurgidas – Brazilian Tour 2002” and the results had been excellent !
3 – The Wagner is a excellent Drummer, studies very and put in practical what it learns!
4 – We are in underground more than the 1 decade. We do not follow fashions, we player what we like through our influences (old Thrash Metal, Death Metal, Black Metal) as: Exodus, Slayer (old), Destruction, Possessed, Venom, Sepultura (old), Sarcófago, Dorsal Atlântica, Death, Vulcano, and others…
5 – Death Metal for we is express our hated through of music. We live in a country of third world full of misery and corruption, then Death Metal is survive this everything! We are old because adore old bitches, drink´s and cannabis…. ehehehehehe!!!
6 – Because we record only 4 first musics that we compose. They wait the new stuff, it will be well bigger.
7 – We have new musics and we are composing others that will be part of the Split/CD with the Anthropophagical Warfare. This Split will be launched in 1º semester of 2003 by Moondo Records.
8 – In track “The Devil is Green” we are speaking about greed of the man for money. It kills, steals, is deceptive, everything to obtain money. Here in Brazil, our currency (Real) is of green color. The American Dollar also is green… It understands???
9 – “…Mentes Ressurgidas” was the first release of my label Moondo Records. But the RECIDIVUS and MOONDO RECORDS are different works. The relationship through two is extremely professional.
10 – Until the present date, we have 3 launchings in Cassette (Recidivus, Anthropophagical Warfare, V/A… Morbid Moon vol. 1) and 1 in CD-R (Carbonized). The next releases are: Split/CD – RECIDIVUS / ANTHROPOPHAGICAL WARFARE (2 bands who player Old Death Metal), Cassete (limited edition) – ARACRANIOS (Black Metal), Cassete – GESTOS GROSSEIROS (old Thrash Metal), all for 1º semester of 2003. They wait…
11 – It has with my name and surname… The pronunciation of Moondo here in Brazil (on portuguese language) is seemed the pronunciation of my name and surname (Edmundo Monte)! Ehehehe…
12 – I don´t know very about Slovakian scene. But i very like of the bands “Craniotomy” (super extreme!) and “Angel’s Decay” (magnific!). Also I know “Lunatic Gods” (excellent musicians)… Please, bands, bangers, zines, labels from Slovakia, write us… It will be an honor to answer!
